WetMainAreas Project - Monitors the BalkanMed wetlands from space through Sentinel-2

The portal connected to Geo database to present the most recent as well as a timeseries of existing Sentinel-2 images was finalised and populated with images from 2017 until 31/12/2019. 
 

The major achievement of the last reporting period is the full implementation of the portal with ALL wetlands provided for Greece and Bulgaria by the relevant partners. It is worth highlighting that the portal monitors systematically  more than 7,500 wetlands in the program area with in preceded level of information and scientific value.

For each wetland a series of seven (7) spectral indices related to the status of the wetland are calculated for every Sentinel-2 satellite scene available from 2017 until today.
