Microfond Sofia Foundation realized three training seminars: one was held online and 2 seminars took place in Ruse region. The training “Financing for start-ups” contains practical information and sharing of experience by funding consultants. Participants were able to benefit from follow-up individual consultations in order to receive personal support and guidance for developing business plans and financial models for funding.

-Students who have ideas for their own business after graduation
-Employed people or unemployed people with a business idea who are considering starting their own business
-Entrepreneurs who have recently launched the realization of their idea
-Business owners who are planning to start a new business venture in another area
-Social entrepreneurs
The main topics of the training were:
-How do we start a business? With how much money and from where?
-What are the different funding options at start-up and later at the growth stage?
-Who gives money for a start-up business?
-What are the types of loans? What are the costs associated with the loan?
-What are the basic requirements of banks?
-Money from EU programs – for what and how?
-Why would a fund or investor support your business idea?
-What are a “financial model” and a “Pitch Deck”? How to successfully present your business idea to an investor.
-Where can we find out about appropriate sources of funding?
-The training is highly practical and is fully tailored to the needs and experience of the participants, based on pre-filled questionnaires
