Skills4MSEs Project - Training seminar in soft skills organized by FONDI BESA

The training “SOFT SKILLS FOR SUCCESS AT WORK AND BUSINESS” (Module 1) was organized in Elbasan, in April 20th, 2021, with the participation of 16 young entrepreneurs.
 
The topics treated were:
- Soft skills and their impact on our careers: Teamwork; Problem solving; Critical observation;
- Non-technical professional skills: Personal Characteristics; Optimization; Vision; Initiative; Desire for control; Perseverance; Risk tolerance; Resistance;
- Interpersonal skills: Leadership and motivation; Communication skills; Ability to listen attentively; Building and maintaining personal relations; Negotiation skills; Ethical behavior;
- Analytical skills: Creative thinking; Problem solving; Recognition of opportunities; Goal settings; Planning and organization; Decision making; Specific craft knowledge; Specific entrepreneurship knowledge;
- Entrepreneurial skills: management skills – the ability to successfully manage time and people; communication skills; ability to sell ideas and persuade others; ability to work in a team and independently; ability to plan; coordinate and organize effectively; basic skills in finance; ability to do effective research (e.g. on available markets; suppliers; customers and competition); ability to be self-motivated and disciplined; ability to adapt; inventive skills and creative thinking; ability to take on many tasks; ability to take responsibility and make decisions; ability to work under pressure; perseverance; competitiveness; willingness to take risks; ability to connect and make contacts with others;
- Some other more specific or business-specific skills: ability to design a business plan for a new venture; the ability to launch and sell a new product or idea; financial skills, such as keeping a diary in accounting and calculating taxes; cognitive and enforcement skills of relevant legislation;
- Also five much needed skills for entrepreneurs are: Ability to act in conditions of uncertainty; Skills / knowledge on the necessary tools / practices of work and activity in different situations; Ability to think differently and consider alternatives (design thinking); Empathy for the client (interested in knowing and understanding the client’s perspective); Ability to try things differently; requires proof of ideas; conducts tests; draws lessons and acts quickly;
- Key communication skills: Emotional intelligence; Clarity and coherence; Self-confidence; Empathy; Respect; Listening; Open-minded; Body language
