AGROLABS Project - 2nd Workshop

The Faculty of Biology at the Sofia University, Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection (PP8 in the AgroLabs Project) organized the 2nd Workshop on the 7th of November 2019 in Razlog, Bulgaria in the context of the Project “Agrofood Innovation Clusters” (AgroLabs) that is implemented under the Transnational Cooperation Programme Interreg V-B Balkan - Med 2014-2020.

Local stakeholders such as producers, local farmers, representatives from cooperatives, processing industries and representatives of the local authorities attended the Workshop, which focused on specific agro-food issues and the Pilot Case Study findings in Blagoevgrad region.

During the event, the general scope, the main objectives and aims of project Agrolabs were presented, as well as, the progress so far and the future steps of the Pilot Case Studies.

At the end of the event, the Pilot Case Study developed for AgroLab Cluster in Blagoevgrad region and the results of the scientific analysis in order to support the AgroFood sector with the creation of AgroFood Innovation Clusters were analyzed.

The participants expressed their interest in the Agrolabs Project, shared their main problems and challenges and their willingness to cooperate with the Municipality of Razlog regarding the Cluster in the Agro-Food Sector in the area. In addition, the participants were interested in participating in the coming training sessions and activities.
