SFEDA Project - Kick-off Press Conference in Patras

On the 4th of December 2017 a joint Press Conference has taken place at the Decentralized Administration of Peloponnese regarding a transnational cooperation for the integration and implementation of a “Forest Monitoring System for Early Fire Detection and Assessment in the Balkan-Med Area, (SFEDA)”.

The conference has been held by the director of the Robotics Group of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, and leading partner of the project, Professor Nikolaos Aspragathos, and by the coordinator of the Decentralized Administration of Peloponnese Ioannis Papatheodorou. Researchers of the Forest Research Institute, Tsiourlis G. and Konstantinidis P., the general Directors of the Spatial and Environmental Policy and the Forestry & Rural Affairs Panagiotopoulos D. and Kantartzopoulos A., Professors of the University of Patras, Koutmos P. and Psarakis E., along with several reporters also attended the press conference. The main target of the press conference was to inform the public about the launch of the SFEDA project.
