Green Deal Joint Article

The Transnational Cooperation Programme Interreg V-B "Balkan-Mediterranean 2014-2020" and the Interreg Indian Ocean Programme have conducted an article dedicated to EU Green Deal, and more specifically, to “EU Adaptation Strategy’’. More specifically, the article focuses on how we can prevent natural catastrophes through the use of technological tools. The main aim of this article is to show the active role of Interreg transnational programmes in realizing the current European agenda, addressing pressing challenges across Europe, as well as to demonstrate how Interreg helps implement the European Green Deal policies while building back sustainable ecosystems. For this purpose two examples/projects have been highlighted: DISARM (Interreg BalkanMed Programme) and STORM-IO (Interreg Indian Ocean Programme).
