HELIX Project - Experience Exchange and Employment Fair

An International Experience Exchange and Employment Fair in support of sustainable hospitality was held on 19th and 20th of June in Varna, Bulgaria. The event promoted entrepreneurship, qualification and employment in management and innovation activities.

The Fair’s agenda combined lectures, demonstrations and exhibition sessions. The lectures discussed some important challenges that hospitality sector faces, including sustainability and viability of  businesses, qualification and employment of young people in hospitality’s management and innovations. Further, entrepreneurial experience in introducing new tourist services and products – mobile apps, events and attractions – was showcased.

Demonstrations of innovative techniques in food and beverage preparation opened the two-hour afternoon sessions for discussion of business ideas, career development and employment in the Balkan-Mediterranean area.

The event was organized in the framework of HELIX project. It was attended by more than 60 young people, practitioners and stakeholders from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece and North Macedonia, who took the chance for networking, experience sharing and skill-building.
