AGROLABS Project - Local Event in Veria

The Region of Central Macedonia organized the AgroLabs Local Event on the 9th of May 2019 in the city of Veria, Region of Central Macedonia, during which the role of the Agrolabs project in supporting the creation of Agrofood Innovation Clusters in the area was analysed.

Local stakeholders such as producers, representatives from cooperatives, processing industries, Agrifood SMEs and the municipalities of the Regional Unit of Imathia participated in the event. During the event, the general scope, the main objectives and aims of Agrolabs were presented. At the end of the event, the Action Plan for the development of AgroFood Clusters in Imathia and the steps in order to support the AgroFood sector with the creation of AgroFood Innovation Clusters were analyzed.

The participants expressed their interest in the Agrolabs project and their willingness to cooperate with the Region of Central Macedonia, towards the creation of Clusters in the Agri-Food Sector in the area.
