Municipality of Megara

The Municipality of Megara is a municipality in the region of Attica that emerged with the Kallikratis Program from the merger of the pre-existing municipalities of Megara and Nea Peramos. The area of ​​the new Municipality is 330.33 sq.km and its population is 36,924 inhabitants according to the 2011 census. The seat of the municipality will be Megara. The municipality of Megara is located in the western part of Attica and includes the largest part of the province of Megarida.
