UET Centre is a civil society organization established in 2009 as an initiative of a group of researchers and lecturers at the European University of Tirana (UET). UET Centre intends to contribute towards the progress and democratization of the Albanian society through policy-oriented research projects, capacity building initiatives and joint projects in the following areas: social and economic policy, education policy, environmental policy, sustainable development, human rights, information technology, social innovation and entrepreneurship with a particular focus on good governance and democracy.

UET Centre helps to bridge the gap between knowledge and policy making process in Albania by:
- putting research as a linking bridge between policy thinking and policy making processes;
- building inter- and multidisciplinary research networks to promote public debate and generate innovative policy ideas and alternatives;
- designing and implementing education, research and development actions and initiatives that contribute to good governance and democracy;
- supporting marginalized groups and promoting citizen participation in decision-making and policy development process.

The vision of UET Centre is to establish itself as a leading multi-disiplinary research centre in Albania that combines research, policy development and advocacy in order to contribute to the democratization and progress of the Albanian society.
